Week Long Summer Swim Classes

For the summer months, Dolphin Academy will offer week-long lessons. Week-long lessons are great for busy summer schedules because you can fit the lessons in right before a trip to the beach, right after a week at camp, or a week before the Summer League Championships. Please review the following information for our Week-Long Summer Classes and then complete the two sections on this screen before registering your swimmer.

  • Tuition is $75 a week for 4 consecutive days – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Lessons are 30 minutes each day.
  • There is a $35 annual registration fee per family.
  • We offer a 10% discount for the third sibling and each additional child in the family.
  • We will be closed for major holidays throughout the year. If your class time falls during a scheduled holiday, your tuition for the week will be prorated to reflect the missed class.
  • Make-up classes for summer week-long lessons will only be offered when lessons are cancelled due to weather or a pool closure.
  • No Mommy and Me classes will be offered for week-long lessons.
  • Once you are registered for a specific week-long swim class we will contact you by phone to determine your child’s correct skill level for proper level placement.

Step One: Choose A Skill Level

Picking the right class for your swimmer is important. We want to make sure that your child’s skill level currently matches up with the appropriate class. Please choose only ONE of the statements below that best describes your swimmer’s current ability in the water. If you feel your child’s skills fall in between levels, please choose the lower level as your child can move up a level at any time. We take this approach so that we can ensure your child’s confidence is properly established in the pool before moving to the next level. Please make note of your swimmer’s skill level and insert the code (i.e. T-1, M-2, D-1, S, etc.) in the comments box located at the bottom of the registration screen.

  • T-1: My child does not independently put their face in the water and/or is nervous in the water
  • T-2: My child has no skills in the water but will independently put his/her face in the water
  • M-1: My child can kick five feet with no flotation device and can put his/her face in the water for 10 seconds and can float on his/her back.
  • M-2: My child can kick five feet with no flotation device and can put his/her face in the water for 10 seconds and can float AND KICK on his/her back.
  • D-1: My child can swim freestyle at least 15 feet and breathes to the front and can kick on his/her back.
  • D-2: My child can swim freestyle at least 15 feet and breathes to the front and can kick on his/her back but his/her stroke is not smooth and creates a lot of splash.
  • S: My child can swim freestyle at least 30 feet with good technique rolling to the side to get a breath. He or she can streamline kick on his/her back and tread water for 20 seconds.
  • W: My child can swim 25 yards freestyle breathing to the side and 25 yards backstroke with excellent technique. He or she has not yet learned legal breaststroke AND butterfly.
  • O: My child can swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke with excellent technique and is able to swim breaststroke and butterfly legally.
