Untitled Document
We will be opening our pool for lessons on June 15th, with a few changes to our normal operations. The safety of our staff and customers will be our top priority. We also know that becoming a strong swimmer is a very important life safety skill, so we are thrilled to be getting back into the pool! With that in mind, our first phase of reopening will involve restructuring our classes and normal operations to make sure we stay within our state guidelines for social distancing.

Our “phase one” reopening will have schedule options for Private lessons and Baby classes only. We have made modifications to our pricing and our schedule offerings to best accommodate as many swimmers as possible while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Our new “Phase One” class structure options:

Due to social distancing and health regulations, we are very limited in the number of private lesson slots available. Registration for classes will open June 6th. Classes will begin on June 15th.

Dolphin Baby

  • 20 minute lesson ($30.00/lesson) (Maximum of 3 swimmers/adult to maintain 6ft distancing)

Dolphin Team

  • 30 minute lesson ($25.00/lesson) (Maximum of 3 swimmers to maintain 6ft distancing)

Reopening Lesson Hours Phase One:

  • Monday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Wednesday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm

We hope to add more hours soon!

Restructuring for Health and Social Distancing:

  • All employees and Families/swimmers will go through a health pre-screening process before entering the pool. This will include signing a Covid questionnaire and having temperature scans.
  • We ask that only one adult accompany swimmers to the facility.
  • Viewing area will be closed to parents. Parents will observe lessons from the windows on our covered walkway side. We will have a designated area that will allow parents to remain outdoors and 6ft. apart from other families. Parents may also wait in their car.
  • All employees will have face masks or face shields on.
  • Each coach in the pool will have a plastic shield covering their face. These will look similar to a face shield you might have seen at your dentist.
  • Classes will be held at the appropriate social distancing length of 6ft. apart.
  • Changing rooms and showers are closed. Swimmers will need to arrive at the pool in their swimsuit and leave in their swimsuit as changing rooms and showers will not be available until further notice.
  • Bathrooms will be for emergency use only
  • Swimmers will have their own dedicated toys and equipment that will be cleaned and disinfected after each use. Pool toys and teaching equipment will not be shared.
  • Please bring your own goggles. For the time being, Dolphin Academy will no longer let swimmers borrow goggles. For your convenience, you may call the front desk before your class and our customer service team will pull goggles, put them on your account and deliver your swimmer’s goggles to them when they come for their class.

Wellness policy for team members and families:

  • Temperature scans for team members upon arriving
  • If you are ill, please stay home and get well
  • If you have been exposed to COVID-19, please abide by the CDC recommended 14-day quarantine
  • Our enhanced cleaning efforts include:

    • You can be confident that we will continue to maintain our facility at the highest standards of health and safety.
    • All hard surfaces will be sanitized between each class.
    • Nightly deep cleaning
    • Touchless Hand sanitizers will be at all entrances and throughout the facility.

    Chlorine Clean Pools:

    • Our state of the art Ultra-Violet Light Water Purification System works in conjunction with our computerized chlorine system to create a double-layered water treatment process.
    • Our pool water is filtered through this process continually.
    • Our dehumidification system maintains the air quality in the pool area.

Dolphin Academy Swim School will be following guidelines from the CDC, Georgia Department of Health, Columbia County Health Department, and our industry experts in the United States Swim School Association.

    March 21 COVID-19 Update

    Dear Dolphin Family,

We have been following the COVID-19 situation and wanted to update you on our status. We originally scheduled to be closed until March 30th, but with the aggressive nature of this virus we do not know when we will be able to return to lessons and our normal schedule.

We want to ensure each of our families that we will hold your child’s spot until we reopen. We will not charge your accounts for April tuition, AND your accounts will not be charged again until we return to our normal schedule. You will still receive makeup classes for your missed lessons in March, and we will have extra coaches and times available for the ease of makeups when we reopen. We understand you need to make the best decision for your family. If you decide to withdraw from lessons now, we will not be able to hold your spot, but we will always welcome you back.

Further updates will be made via social media and email. Thank you for your patience as we navigate these uncharted waters. As we are working with a limited staff, it may take longer than normal for a response.

We are beyond grateful for our dedicated staff and wonderful families that make up our Dolphin Family. We will miss seeing all of your smiling faces. We look forward to being able to resume lessons and help our swimmers become safer in the water and help them get back into the comforts of a regular routine.

Thank you and God bless you and your family.

    Dolphin Academy COVID-19 Update

At Dolphin Academy, we have been following the COVID-19 situation. This is new territory for all of us and the safety of our Dolphin families and our Dolphin Academy employees is always our main focus.

As you know, in our area many K-12 schools will be closed for the next 2 weeks. We are not part of this directive, but because we serve children and families, we have decided to close Dolphin Academy Swim School as well. This will mean we are closed from now until at least March 30th.  Families may fill out a make-up form online, and the 30-day window in which to do the makeup will be waived.  We are offering makeups as a way to ensure continuity for your swimmers and to support our coaches during this uncertain time.

At Dolphin Academy, we strive to keep our facility as clean as possible. As our normal routine, every half hour, we wipe down all changing area surfaces, door handles, benches, restrooms, etc. We continually keep the chlorine level in our pool at a minimum of 1.0ppm. The Coronavirus dies at a chlorine level of 0.5ppm.  In addition to using Chlorine as a disinfectant, we have a state-of-the-art UV system that kills any bacteria or virus that chlorine does not.  Though we feel our facility is clean and safe, if isolation can flatten the curve, then as a community, maybe we can stem the tide of this virus.

If you have any questions, please contact us via email: lessons@iswimdolphin.com – we are not sure how many staff we will have in the building so email will work best.

Everyone, please stay safe and stay healthy.  We will keep you posted over the next few weeks as more information is understood and released.  Thank you for your understanding but more importantly, thank you for allowing us the privilege to teach your precious children each week.

    Sincerely,

    Amy Ristroph
